An East Indian heirloom variety grown in Nepal and the Himalayas. Discovered in 1848. When fruits get mature and become reddish brown, are still fully edible. In that form are used by Asians for cooking and roasting. Tasty, sweet fruits without bitterness are excellent for salads, preservation and pickling.
